Feed The Future
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” – Genesis 1:29
Our mission is to begin our selves and rally others to replenish the earth with edible forest gardens containing trees, plants, herbs, creepres, climbers, shrubs, roots, insects and animals. Working in harmony as together we create a self-replenishing source of abundant, free, nutrition-packed, wellness-promoting food for ALL
Only a few hundred years ago, the entire East Coast of the US was a huge ‘forest garden’ tended by the Native Americans. All over the world we will find that from the Deserts of the Kalahari to the frozen tracts of Russia, the earth provided shelter and food for it’s inhabitants.
You could say the world was our ‘Garden of Eden’.
Each tree, shrub, plant, bush and fungus conributed to sustaining life for all inhabitants. The flowers, sap, outer and inner bark, roots, leaves, wood, fruits/nuts, location and size offered the full wherewithal for healing, nutrition, warmth and shelter to humans as well as shade, CO2, O2 and H2O management and soil mulching and regeneration.
Water flowed freely through brooks and streams. Fish fertilized the water and allowed water plants to flourish. Humans partook of the fish as a kind of ‘special’ addition to their natural plant based diet.
Humans tended the forest by picking up deadwood, culling the trees and burning back the earth to allow for regrowth. They took only enough in proportion to the whole so that the ‘benefactor’ stayed alive and renewed itself.
Humans planted annual food gardens in the forests, but at regular intervals they would move on to another patch, giving the old one time to renew itself. And they lived on nuts, fruits, berries as a staple diet. [Amusing aside - The trend towards raw food is simply a promotion and extension of the kind of diet these people considered normal]
Game, edible animals roamed freely providing regular meat for other species and occasional meat for humans They also did their bit to tend the forest in many different ways. They munched on leaves, ate grubs, and insects keeping the population in balance. The feces and their dead bodies all went back into the earth in a natural fertilizing mechanism.
Insects too had a very important role to play. Some were pollinators, some consumed deadwood while others like worms ate the dead matter and turned it into a rich fertilizer into the earth.
The mycelium layer [if you've ever seen fungus growing on deadwood or the forest floor that's what we mean] helped the topsoil renew.
Every form of life in this forest garden worked together in symbiotic harmony [symbiosis = different species combining to make a harmonic whole greater than the individual effort].
AND
It all worked perfectly until humans decided they were the top concern and started to harness, use and abuse the natural resources in such a way that
they completely screwed the harmony.
We thought we’d triumphed in logging huge tracts of land for commercial lumber, deforesting massive areas to make way for big cities, mass food production, shopping malls, banks and other huge edifices to our god money, pharmaceutical drugs, TV addiction/pacification/propaganda [they called it entertainment] and transportation. It looked good and there is no doubt that it was and still is a testament to the mankind’s creative ability and potential.
That creativity just got misdirected but by products of it have become vital step-ups for our evolution.
We screwed with the natural order, we destroyed natural abundance and replaced it an illusory kind of abundance which seemed much better except for one thing.
Natural abundance is eternally renewable if we work in harmony with the earth.
Man-made abundance we have now is based on non-renewable energy and
it’s running out.
WE CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE AND STILL SUSTAIN LIFE ON EARTH
The Future is Food !!!
Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, head oncologist at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York and one of the leading cancer researchers in the U.S., was quoted recently in a Newsweek article on the future of cancer research. His conclusive comment in the lengthy article was...”we have seen the future, and the future is food.” (Newsweek, 11/30/98)
What can we do?
If we don’t start to act now, we will perish in the ruins of our illusory abundance, grasping at the crumbling edges as we sink into it.
When we consider the amazing creative genius of humans and imagine using that creativity to find new ways to work with the natural abundance, we can create a fabulous world for the future. Our legacy will be the greatest triumph.
Build Awareness
It is our duty to wake people up to what’s going on and to save them from falling into fear about losing what is by offering valid alternatives that will ensure abundance for all.
It is also our duty to install in ourselves and others a sense of the ‘Greater Than Self’ focus. As the current system crumbles, we are more likely to fall into the fear of not having enough. This will turn our focus away from the greater good to our own needs. Like this we will NEVER find new shores.
We must learn to let go of greed [wanting more than we need] and over indulgence.
We must learn to be happy with simple natural foods [and get way healthier into the bargain!], housing and medicines.
We must learn to share our resources more fairly so that there is food, shelter and wellness for all.
This is a massive task and all we can do is to work at grass roots level by educating, inspiring and activating projects that are contributing to the greater good and future potential.
Inspire by Example
Our big picture dream is to see forest gardens across the world combined with earthship/natural building technologies and natural energy utilization.
We see humans eating a natural, god-given healthy freely available, natural diet, living free from disease, well and full of youthful vitality.
It is a grand dream and for it to materialize we have to work on a neighbor to neighbor, community to community basis, spreading outwards as each pod connects with others to form part of the greater whole.
Our grass-roots goal is to have planted our first forest garden as a community resource by 2012. At the time of writing, we have two years, ten months and a few days. See the countdown on the right sidebar.
Finding and Activating a Way
Take our example. We don’t own land, we live on a rented property. The land we work with may belong to one nuclear family or an individual who is willing to contribute a space on which to begin or a benefactor might decide to buy land and allow us to develop it for the greater good.
The tools and equipment, plants and seeds may come from members of the community as will the labor to clear the land, plant the forests and tend and cull them. The fruits of the forest will feed that community. As more people begin to plant forest gardens, there will be an abundance of food and an excess. This excess can be traded for energy in maintaining and expanding the food forest.
Our mission in relation to others is to spread the word, wake people up, solicit others to begin food forest garden movements at grass roots level, getting together with the local community to create joint efforts. Think ‘barn raising mentality’.
Our mission in relation to others is also to alleviate the fear, to help those who are standing on the edge of taking the leap to step into the natural adventure of their lives and to connect to others who are doing likewise to share co-operative support and help where needed.
It is our duty to stress the urgency of this matter. We don’t have much time.
As consciousness awakens and communication expands, things change much more rapidly. The side effect of this is that we seem to be more easily able to manifest what would once have been an impossibility or taken far too long.
What took 60 years to come to fruition 200 yrs ago, now takes less than a year. Imagine that.
FACT! The current structures and systems of this world are crumbling
BUT there really is nothing to fear. In fact you can relax in the knowing that there is hope, light and salvation for everyone who cares to wake up, listen, realize the ‘group’ potential and take action
FACT! We live in a petroleum foundated world. Oil won’t be around for much longer.
When the supermarket shelves thin, food becomes
prohibitively expensive and out of range
how will you feed yourself and your family ?
More and more people are realizing that growing their own food is the way of the future. But, while a few herb pots on a windowsill or a veggie garden or even a tract of land given over to growing vegetables is a great way to go, it is NOT enough.
When healthcare becomes prohibitive and people wake up to the fact that pharmaceutical solutions and processed food are addicting and making us sick,
how will we stay well?
More and more people are realizing that our wellnes is directly related to the food we eat. and that we need a balance of nutritious elements and fresh, organic food. Yet, buying organic food and natural supplements is out of the affordability range for most people and likely to get even more so.
It becomes more obvious that if we can find a way to grow the kind of food that provides us with an ultra healthy, energizing, nutrient rich diet and costs very little other than our labor and dedication, we can survive on this planet and survive in thriving wellness.
How to survive, stay well and live self-sustainably
Forest food gardens are not new, but they are little known. The first man made ‘forest garden’ was created by a pioneer called Robert Hart, in the 20′s in the UK. Forest food garden consists of symbiotically functioning trees, shrubs, plants and herbs that provide a thriving health filled abundant yield of food.
Forest gardens can supply you with some of the healthiest foods including nuts, fruits, berries, mushrooms and herbs for flavor and medicine and they are PERENNIAL not annual.
Combine this with the annual garden growing vegetables suitable for the region and chickens and goats for meat, eggs, milk, cheese and butter, the forest garden complex will provide you, your family, your neighbors and many others with abundant supplies of just what you need to live healthy, long-lasting, productive lives.
What if we don’t have the land to plant?
Our aim is to promote the establishment of forest gardens across the world, using communal or private land which will feed far more than the nuclear family.
We believe that given the right motivation and a sense of how they can contribute to their community immensely, people who have land will begin to commit to developing food forests.
In turn the community, more and more of whom will be without employment, will form the forest gardening force, working for an ample share of abundant food. People who have tools will offer them as their contribution and we will see entire communities pulling together to feed everyone.
If you have land we urge you to consider is there a plot or area that could become a food forest?
What if we live in the city?
You may not be ready or able YET to leave the city and move towards the abundant rural areas. You can still begin to grow some food if you have an allotment, window garden, roof garden, balcony.
If you live in the suburbs and have a garden or share a cul-de-sac style communal garden area, start changing it now. If you share the area, start campaigning to turn it into an edible oasis rather than an ornamental play area. Children will soon learn the joys of playing in the forest, picking food, discovering how it works, tending chickens and more.
But remember, sooner or later cities will no longer be attractive places to live. When the electricity goes would you rather be freezing in an apartment with no facility to make or buy your latte, keep food fresh and prepare a meal. Or would you rather be sitting around a warm fireplace in an earthlodge home with inspiring company, a communal food pot and herbal tea always on the boil?
We urge you to begin now by looking for land,
people to buy and share land with and
people who are willing to share their land.

What’s happening NOW – Scene Setting
We recognize that human consciousness is in a period of rapid, exponential expansion. We are living in turbulent, chaotic times.
We have abused the very fabric of the Earth that supports us through our use and abuse, consume and destroy avarice.
As the Earth tries to heal herself, we are experiencing the fallout in the form of climate shifts, hurricanes, tsunamis, desertification, drought, flooding, increased volcanic activity and much more.
Old Paradigms and Systems are Destabilizing
Our current economic and social systems are crumbling. Money has no intrinsic value and is subject to the whims of virtual trading. Bailouts are equivalent to wallpapering over damp and mold.
Humans are trapped in a Matrix of scarcity and materialism where the answer to what appears to be ‘not enough’ is to grab more for oneself.
- The current monetary system thrives on scarcity and greed. It is a system where only a few profit and many suffer
- Built in obsolesence of products drains natural resources and pollutes the atmosphere in order to maintain the monetary consumer-based economy. Cars are made to break down so the manufacturers can continue to profit by selling you a new model you wouldn’t need if your car was built to last. This is crazy!
- The food industry promotes addiction to junk and poison food. We have learned through hypnotic advertising to train our bodies to link comfort to some of the most poisonous substances on this earth, sugar, unrefined or processed foods, dairy and meat
- The healthcare and pharmaceutical industry driven by profit has no interest in promoting ONGOING wellness for well people don’t spend money on remedial healthcare.
- The powers that be spend nearly 60% of US taxes on military endeavors, under the so-called banner of protecting resources when the earth is abundant with unharnessed natural energy sources such as solar, wind, and wave power
- Transport has become a sucker of resources and an image and ego tool rather than a sustainable, ecological means for humans to move efficiently
- People who get curious about what’s going on and start to spread the word are silenced when their voice gets too loud.
- Housing has become a tradeable commodity and an ego embellishment rather than an adequate shelter to provide for our basic needs.
- People don’t know or war with their neighbors instead of living in communities that care for all members and where people know they are respected for their contributions to the greater good.
As the chaos increases we withdraw into a state of fear, holding on more tightly to what little or lot we have. We wall ourselves off and shut ourselves down escaping into junk food and mindless TV.
This does not lend itself to a harmonic symbiotic existence where all life is working together respecting the natural resources.
What is Emerging and What is Possible – Future Potential
Alongside these disturbances is a surge in information. Across the net people are advocatig new ways of being and living on this planet. People are finding new and alternative technologies as they develop new ways and adapt old ones for shelter building, energy generation, wellness, economic structures, community . Like this consciousness is being awoken.
Our mission is to offer our tools of awakening, illumination and how to’s to the great body of work we call assisting human emergence.
We believe that we need to create communities, eco villages or simple dwelling areas where people can connect to a more natural way of living.
We believe that we need to develop alternative technologies to focus on generating a resource based economy where our needs are met through technological and scientific focus and advance so that we can emerge as creative humans contributing to the ecological evolution of this earth.
We believe that we have to do this at grass roots level, neighbor to neighbor, community to community.
We believe that land should be shared in such a way that ALL humans and living species have simple comfortable shelter, access to forest gardens dripping with food and the quality of wellness that comes from living sustainably and abundantly on the land.
Products we use and recommend
As we put out the message and share information whilst creating and evolving our own food patch, forest garden, wellness routines, we market affiliate products to help generate ain ‘income with integrity’. They are all products that we will or already including in our own toolbox because we know how vital they are.
We only promote products that are created with integrity and a consideration for the greater good and which we believe will help people live more sustainably and more towards a more natural, wellness oriented lifestyle.
Here are the product that we believe in. Some of them are designed to help us develop and maintain optimum health as we make the transition into creating our own wellness-bringing food supply. Others are the tools and supplies you might need while you make the transition. We also promote books and products that will get you started in creating your food patches and forests, food preservation, natural wellness, urban survival tactics and awakening consciousness.
Heirloom Seeds – as certain conglomerates try to control the ownership of seeds, it is vital for us to build up a stock of seeds that will produce plants that will produce seeds and thus ensure self-sustainability. Many genres are now made that do not yield seeds, thus forcing us to return to the supplier over and over. Heirloom seeds ensure that the plants you plant will, if tended as they should be, produce seeds for your next crop.
Farm in a Box –
is the creation of a friend of ours, Dr David Epstein. He experimented with aquaponic growing in his own garden in Atlanta. The farm in a box comes in manydifferent sizes and allows you to raise fish which fertilize the plants grown on top which in turn create a nutritious environment for the fish.
Raw Food World - Until we develop our own forest gardens, we need to build our bodies up to a high level of wellness. Boosting our immune system and eating a more plant based, raw diet is vital to our wellness. This ‘emporium’ offers a vast range of raw foods, equipment, supplements based on raw, natural ingredients. We know that we will have to learn to juice vegetables by hand and rely on natural herbs and plants for our nutrition, but meanwhile we drink green powder drinks and use our Greenstar Juicer.
There is no need to completely cut off, only to be aware of the more natural, oil-dependent free alternatives and slowly move towards using them.
The Ready Store – As we prepare to transition into this new more natural way of living, we may find ourselves in a period of some dearth. We believe it’s important to set aside a stock of basic food and emergency equipment to last a year. A year gives us time to plant a garden and wait for it to ripen and produce. How will you cook, heat yourself and light your way when power becomes expensive. The Ready store offeres freeze dried food, ready meals, water storage solutions, emergency preparedness kits and alternative energy equipment.
MMS - MMS, used worldwide as an effective drinking water purifier also happens to be one of the most powerful pathogen killers in existence, used to purify water, clean up anthrax infested locations and has cured 75,000 people of malaria. That’s what they say, we couldn’t possibly comment. We have been using this daily with the occasional breaks, for a year and have noticed some amazing results. Our easy to understand MMS report here
