Forest works on the land and with his hands. His aim is to

He is a skilled sweat lodge facilitator, orator, woodsman. And since moving out to the hollers has learned animal husbandry from the locals.

Forest was born in the late 50’s into a fourth generation working class pioneer family in Western Montana.

Growing up in the great outdoors and spending time on the nearby reservation, he developed an ingrained passion for the earth, a more indigenous way of living and all nature related activities.

At the age of 12 Forest wrote a prize-winning poem about the plight of the earth at man’s hands.

He wanted to be a farmer but his family and educators made him believe it was not a good life.  He forgives them for not understanding what he could not articulate at the time.

From that time, he has been a life long seeker after spiritual truth. He begun by exploring and practicing yoga, aikido, shamanism, dance, drama, indigenous traditions, religious history, spiritual schools of thought, esoteric arts and ancient mythology.

Forest believes that spiritual growth doesn’t come from knowledge but from life experience and the practice of self awareness and the willingness to work on oneself.

He spoke at the Harmonic Emergence event in 1987 and while on his way to a meeting of Native Elders, he was diverted.

He spent twenty years living in Atlanta – the asphalt jungle – He has lived in communes, trailer houses, the woods, school buses, RV parks and suburban luxury which gave him a wide awarenes of how the current system operates on different lebels.

His current location, in a back rural ‘holler’ in the Georgia Mountains was chosen as a leaping off point to activate the Forest Garden plan.

Forest endeavors to live his life as an act of love for God, The Force, The Greater Than Self.

If he has no paid work, he operates from the gift economy offering his labor to those who need it. As a result he has lived in abundance – because he needs so little.

He is determned to see a world covered with food forests and to encourage people to use their land wisely and for their own and the greater good.

He is also a craftsman and artist who has been using digital graphic technology, flash and animation since is inception in the early 90’s.

Forest is the father of two sons aged 14 and 12 as of 2011

Sunny Soleil

Sunny is a writer and also a coach who works with individuals to help them realize their purpose, be and live the life of who you truly are.

She is also a novice gardener, learning with each years planting.  It has become her passion..

Sunny loves food – growing, preparing, cooking, eating and talking about it”

In1985 she discovered a book, Wishcraft,  that told her she could live the life she loved and love the life she lived.

That realization set off a lifelong journey pursuing a spiritual path via many different self help experiences and spiritual teachings which included working with a demanding mentor for 7 years.

Sunny believes that intimate relationship is one of the best and most challenging ways to learn and grow because in true intimacy, there is nowhere to hide.

She  had a successful coaching business for 15 years working with individuals and running social development workshops in Europe and the States, until she realized that she needed to ‘go into the woods and write’.

Shortly after that declaration of intent, she met her husband and the rest is history.

Sunny spends most of her days writing about food, permaculture, what’s going on in the world and innovative ideas for the future when she is not in the garden or helping Forest haul wood or preparing foodHer

She adores their current rural location because it offers so many natural benefits, and the potential to create living food resources.

Sunny is passionate about spreading the word of forest food gardens and helping people to find their passion and contribute to the community and greater good.

A talented writer, speaker and coach, she is a voracious connector and communicator and is fascinated by ‘what makes people tick’.

Sunny grows vegetables and herbs and cans and is learning how the old timers did it and giving it a modern slant.  She is doing her best to keep their diet fruit and veg rich with a variety of super nutrition additions.

She sprouts seeds for instant goodness packed nutrition.  She loves to explore new ways of preparing and flavoring food that are more earth based and natural.

Sunny has no children but sees herself as an earth Momma who brings a different and valuable insight to families she
